When I moved to US about 22 years ago Tangra's food gave me comfort in the land of the unknown. In all these years the quality and taste remain the same and so do the owners who are down to earth, generous and welcoming. Having tried a variation of dishes throughout the years my go to will always be chicken manchurian soup, chicken lollipop, chicken manchurian gravy, shrimp fried rice and Tangra masala noodles. These never fail to please my palate. Those of you who have yet to try Indian fusion Chinese, I would request you to please do so. You will need to try it to know why a lot of us South East Asians are so crazy about this merger of Indian flavors with Chinese dishes. And what better place than Tangra which has been an establishment in the Queens food scene since 2001.

I grew up going to Tangra and happened to be in the area with a large group of family so we all went. The space is extremely large so I don't think reservations are ever needed to be honest. We ordered a whole bunch of food including soup, lollipop chicken, and several different noodle and beef & chicken dishes. It is definitely better to it's counterparts such as Sagar and is more affordable as well. I will return again with my family as it's halal and known well in the community.

Coming back here - I can always expect the same quality and incredible spice levels. I tried a few more items this time and absolutely loved the paneer pakoras and the paneer burger. The pakoras here are just next level and the paneer burger was so well cooked and seasoned and all the chutneys perfectly complimented the burger. They also give fries with the burger. Can't wait to be back!

Came for lunch on a Saturday for lunch and it had a really nice ambiance! Also lots of parking which made it a plus. For appetizers: 1. Fried chicken momos were so good! Would definitely come back again for this. They added sauces on the side which were also great. 2. Chicken hot and sour soup was my favorite. It was so flavorful, def coming back! Next time I come I would try the chicken lollipops and masala fries! For entrees, I tried the Tangra Masala chow mein and was not a fan. It was not flavored as well and average tasting at best. Would stick to appetizers if I came next time because those were so good!

A classic Indo-Chinese spot that's popular with South Asians in the nyc suburbs! This restaurant has done really well over the years and continues to delivers today. It's a good spot for big family dinners. There are plenty options on the menu and the restaurant is accommodating with different diets. We ordered take out from here recently and it was delicious! We had the Gobi Manchurian, Veg Machurian and the Vegetable Singapore Noodle. Spice level on point. They make some classic indo-chinese dishes and have been serving Queens for such a long time, they are a truly neighborhood staple.

The ambiance of this restaurant is great and has SO much seating, making it wonderful for large formal gatherings, but also great for small intimate dinners! The soups were not great and I would not recommend ordering them. Unless you love soups with lots of cornstarch for a very thick consistency, I wouldn't recommend. (The soups had more of a sauce/gravy texture rather than liquid.) Also, the service was fairly slow, BUT the rest of the food we ordered was phenomenal. From fried rice, to wontons, to Manchurian, everything came in good portions with a burst of flavor and absolutely delicious. Despite the slow service and not the best soups, I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes on the menu!

I had dinner with some friends here and it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is very large with numerous tables and wasn't too packed. The vibes were casual and relaxed, and the decor was nice. I was excited to see that the menu was expansive with decent prices and some great fusion dishes. I tried the Lollipop Chicken ($13), Chicken Pakora ($8.95), Singapore Fried Rice ($11), Singapore Noodles ($12), and a Masala Chai ($4). The Chicken Pakora was crunchy and well done, and the portion size was decent. It was around a 7/10. The Chicken Lollipop wasn't too bad, although it was a bit pricey compared to other places. However, it was well seasoned and I enjoyed it. It was around an 8/10. I really liked the Singapore Fried Rice and thought it was full of flavor. It was also an 8/10. The Singapore Noodles were decent as well, and the serving size was good. It was around an 8/10. The Masala Chai was standard and around a 7/10. Overall, this is a nice spot that serves good fusion food. The prices are decent and the food is yummy. I recommend popping by if you're in the area and craving Asian fusion.
